The highlights
Chippy Holiday cards
I created a series of Holiday cards based on a character I designed named Chippy. Here we have Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day. I made the envelopes to have the same soft edges as the cards and Chippy himself.
I created my own typeface for my SKZM magazine. Here you can see the logo in a compilation of department colors and their headings. Each heading was the title of a Pantone color and its respective color.
Covers created for SKZM magazine
I developed a magazine called SKZM which was about diversity in female art. Each cover was a die cut of the logo to reveal the art behind.
This concept uses the idea of amalgamation with art but also the title of the magazine SKZM. Several parts juxtaposed to make an intricate portrait.
Now the editor's skin has become a complete painting.
Silent Scream
Also created for my SKZM magazine, these photos were created for a feature story called Silent Scream which was about women whose work has a powerful presence but due to world circumstances they are not represented in well known museums and galleries. We used fabric to symbolically show a woman trying to push/break through the circumstances forced upon her. Photographer Julia Cohen
Art meshed with life
This photoshoot was a series of 3 for the Editor's letter in SKZM. We decided to create an individual l who blended with art. The art and the editor become an amalgamation. Photographer Pat Hart
Final layout for magazine feature. Used type to playfully make out the words Many Make One.
Many Make One: Multicultural Nesting Dolls
Another series created for my SKZM magazine which highlighted diversity in female art. These nesting dolls were for a feature article called Many Make One. This article highlighted community events in which several artists come together to display their work and gather larger crowds to see them. A group makes one stronger unit. To display this I used the nesting dolls symbolically and hand painted each doll to represent different cultures. Photographer Mike Gentile
Water bottle chandelier
Inspired by Bruce Munro: Light in the Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. In this exhibition, Bruce used plastics and recycled them to create beautiful installations that came to life at night with tremendous colored light effects. This motivated me to create my own art piece made of recycled materials. I used at least 100 bottles to create this chandelier. I used a stained glass light bulb to add the effects of color. The colored light bounces off the plastic bottles and creates a multifaceted shimmering effect. Photographer Mike Gentile
Ibeyi event poster
This poster was created for a band called Ibeyi. They are twins who sing in Yoruba and English and grew up in Havana, Cuba and Paris, France. The design is based off their logo. It can be read either way and so I created a layout based off a playing card so that this poster can be read either way as well. I mimicked a Yoruba pattern for the background and used their natural hairstyles to design hair as vines and flowers. Type is hand done as well and poster is printed on fiber cream paper.

Thomas Wolfe bookcovers
Books: Look Homeward Angel, The Web and the Rock, and You Can't Go Home Again by Thomas Wolfe. All three stories tell the journey of young men to adult hood in the early 20th century. I executed this idea by cutting up black and white photos of several roads and photographed each collage.
Mr. Timber typeface
Header typeface developed for Children's books. Look closely as the curious eyes bounce from right to left.
Yoplait ad
I created a tv spot for yoplait to air. Active link below image.
